The intent behind this workshop was to allow those attending an opportunity to explore possible actions that congregations and individuals might take after watching the movie, Pay It Forward.

Based on information from a workshop led by Dave Anderson, and information from the Emerging Spirit program, St. Andrew's Haney UC put together a workshop for those people who felt called to greet on Sunday mornings.

One difficulty that churches sometimes have is making sure that the advertising 'face' they show to the wider community is easily recognizable, consistent, and easily reproduced. To help make sure that this part of our 'brand' was consistent, we drew up a style-guide for advertising and signage.

At St. Andrew's Haney United Church, attendance is taken at worship, using this sheet. Clipboards are at the end of each pew with a stack of Communication Sheets and a pen.
If a regular participant is away for more than three Sunday's their Elder is asked to make contact, to make sure that everything is all right. As well, letters of welcome and thanks are sent to guests and newcomers based on the information on the form.
